Body found in burning car in Montgomery Co.

WASHINGTON — A body was found in a burning vehicle in Germantown early Wednesday morning, and Montgomery County officials are looking for more details in the case.

Around 4:22 a.m., 911 dispatchers received a call about a fire in a wooded area in 13700 block of Wisteria Drive in Germantown, Maryland. Montgomery County Fire & Rescue responded and found a vehicle on fire.

When fire crews extinguished the blaze, they found a dead person inside. Montgomery County police responded and are investigating the death.

Police have not released any details about the age, gender or identity of the body found in the vehicle.
