Two men charged with sexual abuse in D.C., Montgomery Co. incidents

WASHINGTON — Two men are charged with raping and kidnapping a 12-year-old girl in Montgomery County.

One of the men is also charged with attacking the girl in D.C., and she may have been assaulted in Alexandria as well.

A preliminary investigation by Montgomery County Police found 24-year-old Enrique Carbajal, an acquaintance of the victim’s family, made contact with the girl in Northwest Washington on March 26 without getting a guardian’s permission.

The D.C. police department has charged Carbajal with first-degree child sexual abuse.

Montgomery County Police believe, after the D.C. attack, Carbajal drove the girl to his home in Wheaton where she was sexually assaulted again by Carbajal and another man who lives there, 19-year-old Victor Tome.

Then, police think the girl was driven to Alexandria where she was attacked a third time.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating that case.

Montgomery County Police say Carbajal and Tome were arrested Wednesday at their Wheaton home and charged with one count each of first-degree rape, second-degree rape, kidnapping, false imprisonment and second-degree assault.

Each has been ordered held on $500,000 bond.
