Where to watch Tuesday’s Democratic debate around D.C.

WASHINGTON — The first Democratic presidential debate is at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13  on CNN.

If watching it solo isn’t your thing, there are several debate watch parties planned around the region.

  • The National Press Club’s watch party is $10 for Club members and $15 if you’re not a member.  The club will be serving special drinks named for each candidate.  For instance, “The Hillary” is a Brooklyn Lager brought to you by a remote server (ha ha).
  • PredictIt’s free debate party will be held at Union Pub on Capitol Hill.  It’s promising drink specials, bingo and “political sports” — in other words, drinking games.
  •  The DC Young Democrats will gather at Local 16 bar and restaurant in Northwest.  It’s free.
  • L2 and Campaigns & Elections are throwing a free watch party at Claudia’s Steakhouse in Northwest.
  • The Maryland Democratic Party is hosting debate watch parties all over the state, including in Anne Arundel, Charles, Frederick, Howard and Prince George’s counties.
  • Lee District Democrats are holding a watch party at Walker’s Grille in Alexandria.  It’s free.
  • The Hillary for America debate watch party is at BlackFinn located at 1620 I St. in Northwest and features Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden.  It’s free to attend.
  • DAPAC, a pro-Hillary Super PAC, is throwing a watch party at the Hotel Harrington in Northwest.  The price of admission is $20.16.
  • Bernie Sanders supporters will gather at The Manor DC restaurant in Northwest.  There’s no charge to join them.
  • The free Glover Park for Bernie Sanders watch party will be held at Veranda restaurant and bar in Northwest.
  • Team O’Malley is throwing a free party at Stetsons Famous Bar & Grill in Northwest.
  • The Montgomery County for O’Malley watch party is at McGinty’s Public House in Silver Spring. There’s no charge to get in.
  • Jim Webb’s supporters will gather for free watch parties in Alexandria and Quantico.
