2nd man arrested in DC shooting that injured toddler

WASHINGTON — A second man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting that injured a 1-year-old boy as he sat in his stroller earlier this month.

Meanwhile, police continue to look for a third person who might have been involved

Saheed A.W. Sulu, of Southeast D.C. was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Last week, Derrick D. Watson, 39, of Northeast D.C., was arrested and faces the same charges for the shooting.

Police said the three men argued before shots rang out near a courtyard along the 1300 block of I Street NE. The boy’s mother told NBC Washington that her son was shot twice.

The boy was expected to recover from his injuries.
