Police search for suspect in connection to Southeast murder

WASHINGTON — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for help finding a suspect wanted in connection to a murder earlier this month in Southeast Washington.

Police have a warrant charging 20-year-old William Lee Lewis IV with first degree murder while armed. The charges stem from a homicide that happened around 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 in the 5000 block of Benning Road, Southeast.

Lewis was described as standing 5-feet-5-inches, with black hair and brown eyes.
