WASHINGTON — There are major delays on both directions of the Red Line after a mechanical problem at Woodley Park metro station.
According to a D.C. fire official who spoke with the Washington Post, the station filled with smoke caused by brake friction from one of its trains.
The Woodley Park station was temporarily closed because of a fire investigation. It has been reopened.
An investigation is underway.
