Child found inside SUV carjacked in DC

WASHINGTON – There were a few tense moments Tuesday night when a vehicle was taken with a child inside.

It happened around 9:15 p.m. on Second Street in Southeast, near Ballou High School, ABC7 reports.

A man was getting into his SUV when two men pushed him to the ground and drove away.

The vehicle was recovered a block away about 15 minutes later. Police say the child who was inside the car was not hurt, but they’re still looking for the suspects. Anyone with information should call them at 202-727-9099.
