Loudoun transit launches real-time bus tracker

WASHINGTON — Loudoun County Transit is launching a new real-time arrival service that will help riders know when to expect their buses.

Similar to Metro’s busETA, riders can see estimated arrival times for Loudoun County’s commuter buses that serve Rosslyn, Crystal City, the Pentagon and D.C. in addition to routes to and from Wiehle-Reston East and West Falls Church.

The bus system had provided delay updates by email.

The prediction service will show real-time data up to 30 minutes out, with scheduled times displayed 30 to 45 minutes before their scheduled departures or arrivals.

Fairfax Connector has been working to bring a similar service to its riders, but the program is still in the installation and testing phase.
