What annoys you most about technology?

WASHINGTON — Think about how different life was before smartphones were invented — people carried cameras, had phone conversations, and folded maps.

Yet, with all the convenience of the digital age comes a few downsides. Maybe more than a few.

If you found it difficult in years past to speak on the phone to a customer service agent, some companies seem determined to make it impossible from their websites.

Since every new feature of every Apple device is dissected (often before the product is available to the public), you have become used to discussing how consumer technology affects your daily existence, for better or worse.

Recently, The Wall Street Journal and sports site  SB Nation compiled biggest complaints about Internet behavior, computers, mobile devices, and apps.

“Notifications! It is SO HARD to turn off all of the notifications, and sometimes they inexplicably turn themselves back on, so your phone starts beeping and buzzing in the middle of the night and waking you up.”

“When people leave the click noise on so you hear them typing on their phone.”

“All Internet discourse about bacon.”

“Person who types “wow” in front of retweet. Wow. Just wow.”

“Voice mails. Don’t leave them. Don’t make me stop what I’m doing to listen to a message that I could have read in an SMS or email.”

So, since this is the digital age, it’s your turn to declare what drives you crazy about technology? Leave a comment, or tweet us with #wtop.
