LANSDOWNE, Md. (AP) _ Authorities are asking for help identifying a girl found in Baltimore County.

Police say a young girl was found around 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Hollins Ferry Road in Lansdowne.

Police describe the girl as black and say she is about 3 years old. The girl’s hair is braided with flower-shaped barrettes and she was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, a jean skirt with white leggings and blue flip flops.

Police say they believe the girl’s name might be “Jacia” or her nickname might be “Sissy.”

Editor’s Note: This story earlier indicated the family of a child had been found. It was the family of another child who was located in another area of Baltimore County.
