Alexandria community meeting planned after daytime murder

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia — After a daytime homicide in Alexandria, the police department plans to hold a community meeting to address residents’ concerns.

The meeting at 6:30 p.m. Friday will be at the Charles Houston Recreation Center.

Pierre Clark, 28, of no fixed address, was killed in the 1000 block of Montgomery Street around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police are investigating the shooting and are asking anyone with information to contact police at 703-380-5019.

The homicide was Alexandria’s third this year.
