Police seek suspect in Alexandria rape, abduction

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a man who raped and abducted a woman last week in Alexandria.

Alexandria police say a 23-year-old woman let a man she met through the Internet into her hotel room in the 2700 block of Eisenhower Avenue on Nov. 16. The armed suspect raped the victim and then forced her to leave Alexandria with him.

Police say they are looking into the possibility that the victim was assaulted in another jurisdiction as well.

The suspect is described as a black man between 6 foot tall and 6 foot, 1 inch tall. He weighs between 180 and 220 pounds, police say.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact police at 703-746-6289.
