Woman hit by bus in Wheaton dies

WHEATON, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County Police say a woman hit by a Ride-On bus in the Wheaton area has died.

Detectives say 34-year-old Tsehay Woldemanuel of Sliver Spring died Wednesday at Suburban Hospital, where she was taken after the April 29 accident.

Officers say Woldemanuel was crossing the westbound lanes of Randolph Road when she was hit by a bus driven by 59-year-old Edward Mericle of Fulton. He was not injured.

Police say the accident remains under investigation.
