It’s official: Women gab more than men (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON – Science has finally proven what many already suspected: Women talk more than men.

A University of Maryland School of Medicine study found that female brains contain more of a certain kind of protein that facilitates language, the Daily Mail reports. The chattier sex speaks about 13,000 more words per day than men.

The chit-chat protein, Foxp2, develops earlier in females, and contributes to the 20,000 words per day women speak on average. Girls also learn to talk earlier, and tend to have larger vocabularies and use a bigger variety of sentence structures than boys, the Daily Mail says.
