Around this time, the initial reviews started coming in.

"It tastes like frozen chicken with random toppings on it. I feel the stomach ache coming," said WTOP's Entertainment Editor Alicia Lozano.

ABC7's Lauryn Ricketts, who does weather for WTOP, takes a bite. While she admits she was a little scared by chicken from a pizza joint, she was pleasantly surprised.

"I wasn't exactly sure what they were, whether a pizza with chicken crust or fried chicken legs with sauce."

Ricketts suggests picking these up for a Sunday tailgate or football party.

"I loved the pineapple jalepeno...I probably would not order the bacon, tomato and cheese one."

WTOP staffer Chris Cichon had positive things to say about the new Domino's dish.

"I was a pretty big fan of this chicken. The barbecue was my favorite, but I was very impressed with almost all of them."

He suggests Specialty Chicken for a Saturday indoors -- along with a medium sized pizza.

Zach Shore says, "I don't know how to describe what I have just experienced..."

WTOP's Melvin Chase, left, was especially excited to try the Specialty Chicken.

"When you get down to it, it's chicken nuggets with toppings. More a side item you would add to a pizza order or as an appetizer."

The BBQ was Chase's favorite, but only by a little. He was also a fan of the jalepeno and pineapple.

"Then again how can you beat BBQ anything?"

The buffalo was good too -- but he was quite unimpressed by the bacon and tomato.

"Next time I'm hungover, I'm going to get this." John Meyer, WTOP's Director of Digital Media. (WTOP/Lacey Mason)
WTOP web editor Sarah Beth Hensley (not pictured) didn't have overwhelmingly positive things to say.

"It was toppings on top of chicken nuggets: Can't any second grader who knows how to operate a microwave make these?"

While it wasn't terrible, says Hensley, it wasn't amazing. If she had to pick, she'd go wtih BBQ.

WTOP web developer Nick Moss is preparing himself to take a bite of a jalepeno-pineapple piece. Moss says he's usually drawn to spicy foods. (WTOP/Lacey Mason)
Nick Moss: "The journey began innocently enough, as the familiar texture and flavor of breaded chicken hit my tongue. Then, without warning, a symphonic explosion of mediocrity quickly evolved!"

(WTOP/Lacey Mason)
"Charred bits of the mildly spicy sauce perfectly accented the dry baked pineapple," said Nick Moss.

"However, it was food. I'd definitely eat it again if someone else paid for it."
