Every 68 seconds
someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Bob Madigan, WTOP's Man About Town, will host the Washington Monuments Luncheon on Tuesday, May 8 at the Grand Hyatt. Please make plans to attend as they pay tribute to the Honorable Don Bandler and Mrs. Jane Bandler; Donald Larrabee; Mark Shriver; Dr. Scott Turner; Sunrise Senior Living; and TerpSys.
A new and startling fact: one in seven individuals with Alzheimer's lives alone. Half have no identifiable caregiver, which exposes them to higher risks, including inadequate self-care, malnutrition, untreated medical conditions, falls, wandering, and accidental deaths.
