Four-legged family members receive holiday gifts, too

WASHINGTON – Holiday shoppers are not just buying for friends, family and co- workers. It turns out they’re also shopping for their four-legged family members.

According to the American Pets Products Association, over half of all dog owners and 38 percent of cat owners plan to give their pets at least a small gift this holiday season.

In addition to buying gifts for their own pets, shoppers are also purchasing gifts for other people’s pets, including that hard-to-buy-for-friend and the hard-to- impress boss, WWL reports.

So what’s the trendiest pet gift this season? Well, pet sweaters take the bone.
