WASHINGTON - On what would have been Julia Child's 100th birthday, PBS has released a new video featuring the famous chef's "singing" voice.
Taking her unique voice and mixing it with a musical track, John Boswell from PBS Digital Studios creates a music masterpiece (with a catchy tune).
Boswell, who goes by "melodysheep," has his own YouTube Channel. He is the creator of the Symphony of Science remix series that mixes science videos with music.
In the video, released by PBS Tuesday, Child "sings" about roasted potatoes and rosť, saying, "This is what good cooking is all about, this is what good cooking is all about."
In addition to PBS' musical tribute, the Smithsonian is honoring "The French Chef" by displaying a new installation of her kitchen as part of an upcoming exhibition on food in America.
Her kitchen will be on display through Sept. 3.
On Wednesday, the museum is hosting a daylong celebration of Child, including screenings of three episodes from WGBH's "The French Chef."
Child died in 2004.
