Woman goes into labor at Metro station

WASHINGTON – Commuters waiting for Metro’s Green Line Tuesday witnessed something unexpected during their morning commute.

The Washington Post reports a 22-year-old woman went into labor at the Congress Heights Metro station. The woman didn’t give birth there, but was taken to a hospital between 8 and 9 a.m.

The incident did not affect Green Line service.
