WASHINGTON - A Maryland woman who was cited for driving too slowly on Interstate 95 has had the ticket dismissed, Maryland State Police say.

Officials say the statute for driving too slowly only applies to drivers going at least 10 mph under the speed limit, not 2 mph.

WASHINGTON - A Maryland woman says she was shocked when a law enforcement officer stopped and ticketed her for driving too slowly in the left lane and failing to move right.

The woman tells NBC 4 she was driving in the left lane of Interstate 95 last week in Laurel when she was stopped.

The woman was cited for failure to move right, she tells NBC 4. Her ticket said that she didn't "keep right" after going 63 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The woman says she slowed due to windy conditions, and a retired state trooper who spoke to NBC 4 says the charge will likely not hold up in court.
