Montgomery County Police are hoping to identify the suspect in a bank robbery Saturday in Potomac.

Police on Monday released surveillance images of a man they say robbed the M&T Bank at 10100 River Rd. just before 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Police said the suspect approached a teller and gave the teller a note announcing a robbery. The man implied he had a gun, according to police, though no weapon was seen. He got an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled on food into the shopping center.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8 tall, weighing 130 to 150 pounds with a black hat, dark gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this robbery or the suspect involved to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or leave a Crime Solvers tip here.  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
