ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Rays have activated outfielder Wil Myers from the 60-day disabled list after missing 70 games with a broken right wrist.
The Rays made the announcement before Wednesday night’s game against Detroit.
The 2013 AL rookie of the year played seven games on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham.
Tampa Bay also optioned infielder Vince Belnome to Durham and transferred outfielder Jerry Sands (left wrist surgery) from the 15- to the 60-day disabled list.
