Bethesda homes evacuated for gas leak

WASHINGTON — Several dozen homes in one Bethesda neighborhood were evacuated after an in-ground propane tank started leaking gas Monday.

It happened near 7100 block of Fairfax Road along Fairfax Road — near Bradley Boulevard. The home was under construction.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue was on the scene and clean-up took several hours.

There were no injuries.
