Teen assaulted at bus stop in Prince George’s County

WASHINGTON – Prince George’s County police are on the lookout after a high school student was assaulted at her bus stop Thursday morning in Fort Washington.

Police say the teen was approached by an adult man near her bus stop at Lourdes Drive and Hickory Drive around 6:30 a.m.

According to police, after the man grabbed the teenage girl, they both fell to the ground where she was able to kick her attacker and escape.

The 16-year-old girl’s father tells WTOP she is shaken up, but OK. She called her dad right after the attack.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, about 6 feet tall, 170 pounds and in his late 20s to early 30s. He was last seen wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants.

Police are canvassing the area and will have extra officers near the bus stop.
