OLDTOWN, Md. (AP) — A Potomac River toll bridge linking Allegany County to Green Spring, West Virginia, is back in business.
The Cumberland Times-News (http://bit.ly/1tQZstH ) reports that the reopening Tuesday of the Oldtown Bridge comes about 10 weeks after it was damaged by flooding.
The private toll bridge was washed out June 12. The nearest crossing is 15 miles in either direction.
The Maryland Public Service Commission approved rate increases last year that tripled the passenger-car toll from 50 cents to $1.50.
