Amtrak resumes regular service in Northeast

WASHINGTON – Amtrak will resume normal operations along the Northeast Corridor Thursday.

Amtrak routes that will return to service include Acela Express, Northeast Regional, Empire and Keystone.

Passengers who had purchased a ticket but decided not to travel because of a service disruption can receive a refund or voucher. Some reservations booked online can be cancelled by visiting Amtrak.com or using the Amtrak mobile app.

Amtrak had modified its schedule between D.C. And Boston because of the extremely cold weather.
