Officials investigate Dupont Circle sexual assault

WASHINGTON – D.C. authorities are investigating a sexual assault that happened near Dupont Circle over the weekend.

Two men attacked a woman behind the building at 1300 Connecticut Ave. at the corner of N St. NW at some point early Sunday morning, police told ABC7. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, told police the men grabbed her and she was raped.

The woman said the men pushed her to the ground and raped her some time between 1:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Sunday, according to the ABC7 report. The victim’s injuries are not clear at this time.

Officials are conducting interviews in the case.
