WASHINGTON – Women who are tired of dining by themselves when they travel have a new option.
They can turn to Invite for a Bite, a website that helps women connect to other ladies who dread requesting a table for one.
If you already know your travel plans, the site lets you create invites where you are and when or check the site to see if others are seeking dinner mates.
The website says women shouldn’t exchange personal information and recommends meeting in public places.
Only months old, the site has seen invites across the world. Posted offers include coffee in Cambridge, lunch in Boca, wine and cheese in Prague or dinner in Singapore.
No guys allowed, though. The website is only open to women.
