Update on the latest from the NFL:

UNDATED (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals have padded their lead in the NFC West by winning a matchup of 5-1 teams.

Carson Palmer heaved a 75-yard touchdown pass to John Brown with 1:21 remaining before the Cardinals held off a late drive to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-20. Palmer’s game-winning throw came just 35 seconds after Cody Parkey hit a 20-yard field goal to put the Eagles ahead. Philadelphia was forced to settle for a short field goal after the Cardinals staged a successful goal-line stand.

The Eagles came close to pulling out the victory, driving 64 yards to the Arizona 16 before Nick Foles threw into the end zone on the final play. Jordan Matthews caught the ball out of bounds, leaving the Cardinals 6-1 and dropping the Eagles to 5-2.

Palmer threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns, while Larry Fitzgerald had seven receptions for 160 yards and a TD.

Foles threw 62 passes, completing 36 for 411 yards, two touchdowns to Jeremy Maclin and two interceptions.

Also in the NFL during Week 8:

— Pittsburgh has its first winning streak of the season after earning a wild 51-34 triumph over Indianapolis. Ben Roethlisberger (RAWTH’-lis-bur-gur) set franchise records with 522 passing yards and six touchdowns. He completed 40 of his 49 throws and became the first player to go over 500 yards passing twice in his career. Antonio Brown had 10 catches for 133 yards, Heath Miller rolled up 112 receiving yards and Le’Veon Bell had 92 yards on 24 carries for the 5-3 Steelers. The Colts ended a five-game winning streak and dropped to 5-3 while Andrew Luck threw for 400 yards, three touchdowns but two interceptions.

— Matt Prater hit a 48-yard field goal as time expired to complete Detroit’s comeback in a 22-21 win over Atlanta in London. The Lions trailed 21-0 at halftime before improving to 6-2 and dropping the Falcons to 2-6. Matthew Stafford finished with 325 yards passing, completing 24 of 47 attempts for two touchdowns and one interception. The Lions held Matt Ryan to 66 passing yards after he threw for 160 and two TDs in the first half.

— The Bengals blew an 11-point lead but fought back for a 27-24 win over Baltimore. Andy Dalton made up for two second-half turnovers by scoring on a 1-yard sneak with 57 seconds left for the win, which tightened up the AFC North race. The Bengals are now 4-2-1 while the Ravens check in at 5-3. Baltimore had a 24-20 lead with 3:59 left in the game.

— Tom Brady threw five scoring passes and the streaking New England Patriots beat up on the Chicago Bears 51-23. The 6-2 Patriots scored on all five of their possessions in the first half to win their fourth straight. The 3-5 Bears fell behind 45-7 early in the second half and lost for the fourth time in five games. In one of the best statistical games of his career, Brady completed 30 of 35 passes for 354 yards. He threw three scoring passes to Rob Gronkowski and one each to Tim Wright and Brandon LaFell.

— For the second straight year Russell Wilson has led the Seattle Seahawks back from a second-half deficit to a beat the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte. Wilson completed a 23-yard touchdown pass to Luke Wilson with 47 seconds left, lifting the 4-3 Seahawks to a 13-9 victory over the Panthers. The win snaps a two-game losing streak for the NFL champs. Wilson finished 20 of 32 for 199 yards with one interception and one touchdown. Cam Newton was 12 of 27 for 121 yards with an interception and a fumble for the 3-4-1 Panthers.

— Kyle Orton threw four touchdown passes and the Buffalo Bills forced the New York Jets into six turnovers, three each by Geno Smith and Michael Vick, in a 43-23 rout. Orton won for the third time in four games since replacing EJ Manuel as the starting quarterback for the 5-3 Bills. The Jets have dropped seven straight after winning the first game of the season.

— Jamaal Charles ran for two touchdowns as the Kansas City Chiefs trounced the St. Louis Rams 34-7. Cairo Santos added a pair of field goals for Kansas City, which is 4-3, including a career-best 53-yarder. Alex Smith was 24 of 28 for 226 yards for the game. The banged-up Rams, who are 2-5, lost their sixth straight to Kansas City dating to Sept. 25, 1994, when they were still in Los Angeles.

— Cleveland is 4-3 after scoring a pair of four-quarter touchdowns to beat the Raiders 23-13 in Oakland. The Browns led just 9-6 until Brian Hoyer threw a four-yard scoring strike to Andrew Hawkins with 14:17 remaining. Ben Tate added a five-yard touchdown run for the Browns, who won despite just 39 yards on 25 carries. Hoyer was 19 of 28 for 275 yards.

–Arian Foster ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns and also caught a pass for a score as the Houston Texans beat the Tennessee Titans 30-16. The win is the 200th in franchise history. The 4-4 Texans snapped a three-game skid as Foster topped 100 yards rushing in his fourth straight game. J.J. Watt had two sacks and forced a fumble as the Texans beat the team they replaced in Houston for the fourth time in five games.

— Miami’s Dolphins won the in-state battle between the Dolphins and Jaguars, 27-13. The victory means the 4-3 Dolphins have won back to back games for the first time this season. The 1-7 Jags dominated the first half but trailed 10-3 at the break because of mistakes. Rookie signal caller Blake Bortles had two interceptions returned for touchdowns and had three turnovers for the game, giving him six in the last two week and 13 in six games.

— Anthony Barr forced a fumble on the first play of overtime and returned it 27 yards for a score, giving the Minnesota Vikings a 19-13 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The stunning end came just 17 seconds after the 3-5 Vikings extended the game on Blair Walsh’s 38-yard field goal on the final play of regulation. Rookie Teddy Bridgewater threw for 241 yards, one TD and no interceptions to help Minnesota stop a three-game skid.
