Flooding causes phone outages at Reagan National

WASHINGTON — Construction at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport has caused some flooding and phone outages early Tuesday morning.

Chris Paolino, a spokesman with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, says that construction work being done at a store hit one of the sprinklers.

The water has been turned off and the area has been cleaned up, but the flooding is still affecting the airport’s phone systems.

Crews are working to get the phones back online.

There is no impact to passengers.
