WASHINGTON - Can't decide what you want to eat? Well one West Coast restaurant is working to remedy that by putting all of the options on a sandwich. And it's one big sandwich.
Fat Sal's — a sandwich shop that has locations in Hollywood, Westwood and San Diego — is turning heads with its aptly-named Big Fat Fatty.
The mammoth sandwich on a 27-inch garlic bread roll contains cheesesteak, cheese burgers and pastrami — but it doesn't end there. Next is a layer of chicken fingers, bacon, mozzarella sticks, fried eggs, jalapeno poppers, fries, onion rings, chili, marinara and a drizzling of "fat sauce."
In case your heart burn isn't kicking in yet, the $49.95 sandwich can only be ordered as part of an eating challenge. Customers up to the challenge have to finish it in 40 minutes or less. The winners do not have to pay for the Big Fat Fatty.
Only one person has successfully finished the challenge, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The restaurant, which has plans to expand to Austin, Texas, was founded by "Entourage" star Jerry Ferrara alongside his two friends Josh Stone and Sal Capek, according to the restaurant's website.
