WASHINGTON -- The Vintage Toy Buying Roadshow was in D.C. over the weekend.

As they say, parting can be such sweet sorrow, but it's a great place to retire those action figures or old Barbie Dolls and get cash in return.

Joel Magee is a self-proclaimed "Toy Scout." He's been crisscrossing the country buying antique toys for 25 years. He was in the area looking for that box of old toys that's been sitting in someone's closet for, "literally decades and decades."

Magee typically looks for toys from the 1970s or older, but even buys a few toys from the 1980s like Star Wars and Transformers. How much they bring in depends on the condition.

The show ran from April 23 through April 27 at the Courtyard Marriott, 1960 Chain Bridge Road, McLean.
