Thursday - 10/31/2013, 12:38pm  ET

WASHINGTON - D.C. police are looking for a bicycle-riding robber who stole a wallet and two cellphones from three people in the Georgetown area Tuesday.

Police say the first incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW. They say a man snatched a woman's wallet from her hand and then fled on a bicycle.

About an hour later in the 3200 block of O Street NW, police say a man on a bike came up behind a victim and snatched his iPhone. The suspect pedaled off but then fell off the bike and fled, which allowed the victim to recover the phone.

Just minutes later, a man riding a bike grabbed another victim's iPhone as she waited for a bus at M Street and Thomas Jefferson Avenue in Northwest.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, who is between 20 and 30. He is between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-9 and weighs about 135 pounds. They say he has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

He may have been riding a black youth bicycle with pegs on the back.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or send a text message to 50411.
