WASHINGTON - In an effort to engage with its customers, Metro will hold three public meetings this week to get feedback on strategies for improving service.

Officials will discuss Metro's new plan, termed "Momentum." Expanding certain stations, easing pedestrian transfers between stations and developing better communication services are some of the issues that will be discussed during the sessions.

Metro says it believes it can address all of its proposals without increasing fares.

Public meetings will be held:

  • 5:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 11
Treetops, 8181 Professional Place, Hyattsville, Md.

  • 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12
Jackson Graham Building (WMATA Headquarters), 600 5th St NW, Washington, DC

  • 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14
Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School, 7130 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, Va.

Officials say the meetings were prompted in part by the more than 3,000 rider responses received from a 30-day online survey.
