30th Annual Virginia Run Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot
5K and 2K walk to benefit Inova’s Life with Cancer Program

Everyone knows someone whose life has been forever changed by Cancer – patients, survivors, friends, loved ones and communities. That is why each year, the Virginia Run Turkey Trot – a 5k run/2k walk held on Thanksgiving morning – raises funds to help those in our community who are coping with this life-altering illness. During its 29-year tenure, this event has raised over $1 million dollars in support of Inova Life with Cancer, a local organization.
Life with Cancer
is the educational and emotional support program of the Inova Schar Cancer Institute. With locations across Northern Virginia, Life with Cancer offers wellness and exercise programs, educational seminars, individual and family counseling and nurse navigation to children and adults affected by cancer regardless of where they are being treated or where they live.
Thanks to generous support from the community, we are able to offer these services at no cost.
