SATURDAY:
Mostly cloudy, unseasonably cool
Highs: mid 60s
Winds: NW 5-15
A strong storm system bringing soaking rains to the Southeast will just keep us mostly cloudy Saturday with peeks of sunshine through the overcast. An area of rain will just miss us to our south and east. However, the clouds and the increasing northwesterly winds will keep us a bit cooler than average.
SATURDAY NIGHT:
Gradual clearing, moonlit, unseasonably brisk & chilly
Lows: upper 30s rural, low 40s cities
Winds: NW 10-15
Saturday’s storm system will intensify as it heads out to sea, and that will pick up the winds and pull in even cooler air overnight. Luckily, the winds will keep temperatures from falling even further than they could considering this airmass’s Canadian origin, and that will protect us from yet another late season freeze.
SUNDAY:
Partly to mostly sunny, still a bit cool
Highs: low to mid 60s
Winds: W 5-15
Skies will stay mostly clear on Sunday, though the sunshine will only help us out with the temperature rebound; highs will again be below average.
MONDAY:
Partly sunny, more seasonable
Highs: low to mid 70s
The pattern will shift on Monday and with sunshine and more southwesterly winds, we’ll be much more seasonable.
TUESDAY:
Partly sunny, very warm
Highs: low 80s
Temperatures will be almost summerlike on Tuesday. The next chance for showers and thunderstorms will be late Wednesday into Thursday.
