Central and southern Virginia will experience accumulating snow Monday. Luray, Culpeper and Fredericksburg in Virginia, plus Leonardtown, Maryland, could see half inch of snow. Flurries are possible closer to D.C., with little to no accumulating snow expected. High temperatures will barely reach above freezing. Expect wind chills in the 20s for much of the day. A bitterly cold night is ahead, with low temperatures falling into the teens and low 20s.
Sunshine returns Tuesday, but temperatures remain cold, with wind chills in the 30s.
Skies remain cloudy Wednesday, with a chance of rain and temperatures in the 40s.
Expect partly cloudy skies Thursday, with a chance at overnight rain transitioning to a wintry mix as temperatures fall below freezing.
