WASHINGTON — The Washington Nationals announced that Friday night’s series opener with the Los Angeles Dodgers has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday.
First pitch of the first game of the doubleheader is scheduled for 2:05 p.m., while the regularly scheduled 7:05 p.m. game will be pushed back an hour to 8:05 p.m. The games require separate ticket admission and the park will be cleared and reopened for the second contest.
Gates for the second game will open 1.5 hours after the final out of the first game or at 7 p.m., whichever is later.
Max Scherzer, who was originally slated to pitch Friday, will start Game 2, while Tanner Roark will start the make-up game.
