WASHINGTON — If you bought a lottery ticket in Manassas, Virginia, last week, you could be $1 million richer.
The Virginia Lottery says a million-dollar Powerball ticket was purchased at the Mathis Avenue In & Out Mart but has not yet been claimed. The ticket owner has 180 days from the July 8 drawing to claim the prize.
The winning numbers from the drawing were 8-10-29-40-59 and the Powerball was 26. The winning ticket was the only ticket nationwide to match the first five numbers.
Virginia Lottery officials said whoever has the ticket should immediately sign the back to establish ownership and then contact Virginia Lottery to claim the prize.
The In & Out Mart in Manassas will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday with a jackpot of $155 million up for grabs.
Virginia Lottery said the odds of winning a $1 million Powerball prize are 1 in more than 11.6 million.
