WASHINGTON — One man died and two others were injured in a shooting early Friday morning at an apartment complex in Fredericksburg, Virginia, that police are continuing to investigate.
The Fredericksburg Police Department identified the man who died as 21-year-old Christopher Williams.
Fredericksburg Police said they first received a call about disturbance from the Kendalwood Apartment Complex after midnight on Friday and while on their way there received another call about a shooting at the same complex.
When officers arrived, they found Williams suffering from two apparent gunshot wounds. Two additional victims suffering from nonfatal gunshot wounds were taken to the hospital. They are Jamique McAllister, 18, and Markuis Lucas, 19, both of Fredericksburg, police said.
Police said they are still trying to determine McAllister’s and Lucas’s potential roles in the shootings, but both have been charged with unrelated offenses.
McAllister, who remains in the hospital, was charged in connection with robbery that occurred earlier this week. Lucas, who was released from the hospital, has been arrested on a felony charge of possessing a stolen weapon and first degree murder. He is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bail, police said.
Sarah Kirkpatrick with the Fredericksburg Police Department said police are still investigating. The Fredericksburg Police Department is also requesting the public’s assistance in locating an additional subject involved in the shooting incident. Fernando “Flip” Booker, 31, of Gainesville, Virginia is wanted on two felony charges of aggravated malicious wounding.
