WASHINGTON — In the latest airline video gone viral on social media, two men exchanged vicious blows on a recent All Nippon Airways international flight from Japan to the United States.
According to Twitter user @CoreyHour, who filmed and shared the recording, “Ten minutes before take off a passenger starts a huge fight in his row. I get in between him and flight attendants, but he won’t 1v1 me.”
The video shows a man in a red shirt launch an attack on a man wearing a black T-shirt.
The man in the black shirt can be heard saying, “Someone, help. This man’s crazy.”
“Help, help? … I’ll kill you,” the man in red responds, before moving away in the aircraft.
The video cuts off with the man in red returning to exchange more blows with the other passenger.
@CoreyHour posted on Twitter that “The video ended when I stepped in & confronted the man in the red shirt. I told him to leave and squared up with him, he backed down n left.”
He praised the All Nippon Airways staff and passengers for handling the situation “with grace and respect.”
Witnesses to the spectacle said the attacker was drunk, Yahoo News reported. Police and an ANA spokesperson said he was deemed a potential safety threat, but would not leave the plane.
The passenger, according to Japan Today, is a 44-year-old American man who was arrested Monday night and charged with assault.
In addition to attacking the passenger wearing black, the attacker also hit a woman passenger after leaving the plane and choked a male airline employee, Japan Today reported.
