On Friday, Army Spc. Alec Alcoser and his working dog, Alex, were together once more, this time at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System’s Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center. It was an emotional reunion, with the Harlandale High School graduate wiping tears from his eyes at one point and Alex licking his face.
This coming Tuesday, the National Geographic channel will air an episode of its “No Man Left Behind” series featuring the heroic story of a Courthouse resident and former Army special forces soldier.
Although Army Captain Anthony Burch couldn’t be there in person for the delivery, he was able to witness the birth thanks to FaceTime.
