‘Say Thanks’ to friends with new Facebook video

WASHINGTON — As Thanksgiving approaches, Facebook has unveiled a new way
to
say thanks to your friends with the help of a personalized video.

Facebook’s new video project — called “Say
Thanks”
— allows users to make videos individualized for friends and
family with Facebook photos of the times they’ve spent together.

To get started, go to Facebook.com/thanks.

With the project, Facebook members can choose a friend, a theme and the photos
or posts they want to include.

When it’s customized to your liking, clicking
“Share” allows you to add a personalized message and post it on your
timeline as
well as the friend’s.

There is no limit to how many personalized videos you can create and share,
Facebook posted in a news release.

Facebook rolled out the featured Wednesday on both desktop and mobile in
English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish.

The video may seem familiar. Facebook offered “Look Back” videos to users at
the end of 2013 as Facebook celebrated 10 years. The Look Back videos allowed
users to share a video remembering things such as their first photos,
most-liked posts and shared photos.
