WASHINGTON — A half marathon in Prince William County closed several roads along and including Route 29 on Sunday.
The course begins and ends at Jiffy Lube Live, taking runners through Manassas National Battlefield Park.
The race began at 7 a.m. and lasts for three and a half hours. A vehicle will pick up any stragglers still running after the time limit.
Once the race is over, runners are invited to celebrate with live music and a beer and food garden until 12:45 p.m.
The largest road closure will be Route 29, but other impacted roads include Brawner Farm Loop, Pageland Lane, University Boulevard, Wellington Road and Cellar Door Drive. Marathon organizers have a complete map detailing the course here.
