2 dead, 2 injured in Prince George’s Co. domestic incident

Two people are dead and two others are injured following a domestic incident in Prince George’s County, Maryland, on Sunday morning, according to police.

It happened in the 2500 block of Lazy Acres Road in Clinton around 6 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area, according to Prince George’s County police.

When officers arrived, they found two adults that were pronounced dead on scene, police said.

Two other victims, one adult and one juvenile, were taken to the hospital and are being treated for “undetermined injuries,” according to police.

Police said this has been determined to be a “domestic related death investigation” and does not appear to be a random act. They said there is no danger to the community.

Police say a gun was used in the incident.

Prince George’s County police say it is their first death investigation of the New Year.

“This is a very fluid crime scene right now and we’re working to determine everything that happened,” said David Blazer of the Prince George’s County major crimes division. “We’re talking to family members to try to understand exactly what happened today.”

He said all of the victims knew each other. Blazer said that police are also taking to neighbors to better understand what happened.

“Any loss of life is terrible,” Blazer said. “It’s senseless and we don’t like to see that happen to anybody. Our concern right now is to try to understand what happened and get to the bottom of what happened.”
