WASHINGTON — Maryland State Police say two brothers from Prince George’s County were arrested and charged with multiple child pornography counts on Monday.
The Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in February reporting that an IP address in the area was involved in the distribution of child pornography.
That led them to the residence of Nicholas Eber, 26, and Joseph Eber, 21, both of Laurel, Maryland.
The task force, along with officers from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security served a search warrant at the Ebers’ home Monday. Early investigation of their electronic devices showed they contained child pornography files.
Nicholas Eber is charged with three counts of distributing and six counts of possessing child pornography, he is being held on a $35,000 bond. His brother is charged with five counts of possession of child pornography and being held on a $200,000 bond.
Both of the men are being held at the Prince George’s County Detention Center.
