Md. 18-year-old found shot to death in car; police seek suspect

LAUREL, Md. — Laurel police are searching for a suspect in a fatal Tuesday night shooting.

Police were responding to a call about a car crash when they found 18-year-old William Riley Jr. shot multiple times in his car not far from Millbrook Lane and Sandy Spring Road.

The Howard County resident was rushed to Prince George’s Hospital Center but died from his wounds.

Police later discovered another parked vehicle not far from Riley’s. According to police, he struck it while trying to get away.

Police said Riley was targeted. They are asking homeowners in the area to check surveillance footage and for any witnesses to come forward.
