WASHINGTON — The front of a Clinton, Maryland, convenience store was damaged after an early morning attempt to steal an ATM machine.
Prince George’s County Police say it happened around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 8200 block of Woodyard Road.
Police spokesman Cpl. Tyler Hunter said authorities are looking for a suspect and investigating whether it’s connected to other recent ATM thefts around the county.
Police added there have been multiple thefts or attempted thefts in the past few weeks, some of which involve an ATM struck with a vehicle to dislodge it.
All of this to steal in ATM. It’s still here, the suspects are gone, & now Shell gas station workers are cleaning it up. Live update at 6a pic.twitter.com/bhmRfaSgMK
