WASHINGTON — Homicide detectives in Prince George’s County are trying to determine how and why a man was killed, and left in the 5300 block of Crittendon Street in Bladensburg, Maryland.
A 911 call brought officers to the scene at approximately 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to police spokesman Tyler Hunter.
“They discovered the victim, an adult male, suffering from trauma to his body, and he was pronounced dead on scene,” Hunter said. “Our investigators are on scene, working to identify a suspect and motive.”
Hunter said it is not clear how the man died.
“Events leading up to the victim being killed are still under investigation at this time,” said Hunter.
The man was lying in the roadway, close to the side of the street, when he was found.
An autopsy will be conducted, according to Hunter.
