Police arrest suspect in fatal Md. gas station shooting

WASHINGTON — A man is in custody after police say he opened fire at a Prince George’s County gas station earlier this month, leading to a man’s death.

On Tuesday, police arrested 22-year-old Tony Angelo Singletary after police say he shot and killed 22-year-old Christopher Charles Ealey at a gas station in the 3200 block of Walters Lane in Forestville at about 7:10 p.m. Oct. 5.

On Oct. 5, police responded to the gas station and found Ealey suffering from gunshot wounds inside the business. Ealey, a Forestville resident, died a short time later.

Detectives say they believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Singletary and Ealey.

Singletary is charged with first degree murder and is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.

Anyone with information about the case can call police at 301-772-4925.
